We are a Series A fintech startup looking for a Fractional CTO to guide our engineering team 2-3 days per week. You will set technical direction, review architecture decisions, mentor the lead engineer, and help us hire the next 5 engineers. This is ideal for a seasoned technical leader who wants portfolio exposure across multiple companies. Our stack is TypeScript, Next.js, and PostgreSQL on Vercel.
Set technical direction and architecture standards. Review PRs and mentor engineering leads. Lead hiring process for engineering team. Advise on build vs buy decisions. Report to CEO on technical roadmap and risks.
10+ years engineering experience, 5+ in leadership roles. Previously built engineering teams of 10+. Fintech or regulated industry experience preferred. Comfortable with async communication and part-time commitment.
