E2B · The sandbox layer — whoever owns "where the agent's code actually runs" sits under every coding agent and every computer-use product, and E2B is the one selling it as a primitive rather than as part of a platform.

A machine per agent session. When an agent writes code it did not have at deploy time, that code has to run somewhere that is not your server — E2B gives it a Firecracker microVM with its own kernel, started in milliseconds, exposing shell, filesystem, network, storage, a graphical Linux desktop for computer-use agents, lifecycle and metrics through an API. Sessions can persist and be resumed, so multi-day work survives. Core runtime is open source; you can run their cloud, put the data plane in your own cloud (BYOC), or self-host.
