Nabu Casa · The only company shipping a privacy-first voice assistant people actually buy, which forces them to answer in public, feature by feature, what a house can run locally and what still has to leave it.

They sell the paid cloud service and the official hardware for Home Assistant, the open-source home-automation platform. Home Assistant Cloud gives you remote access to your own house, encrypted backups, Alexa/Google hookups and speech processing; the hardware line is Home Assistant Green, Yellow, Connect ZBT-2, Connect ZWA-2 and Voice Preview Edition — a $69 / 59 € voice assistant that can run its whole pipeline inside the house with no internet. Their voice brand is Nabu ("Okay Nabu" is the wake word).
