Every large AI buyer wants a second supplier to NVIDIA, and AMD is the one now shipping at rack scale. In the quarter to September 2026 revenue was $13.4B, up 45%, and Data Center revenue was $8.5B, up 97%, with segment operating income of $2.9B against $1.1B a year earlier. AMD guided the December quarter to about $17B, plus or minus 3%, up about 27% in one quarter, and says Anthropic, Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI and Oracle are running workloads on its first Helios racks of MI450 GPUs. The shares fell 17% on 5 November in a chip-wide selloff and rebounded the next day, with no company news behind either move. Conviction is MEDIUM because the ramp has not yet turned into cash. Free cash flow was $554M, 4% of revenue, as inventory rose to $11.5B from $7.9B in December and receivables to $9.2B; the gross-margin guide is a point lower; warrants for up to 320M shares to OpenAI and Meta vest as they deploy, and their fair-value change cost $1.1B in the quarter; and AMD has agreed to buy Taalas (about $2.9B) and World Labs (about $8.2B in stock). It sits against MenFem's NVIDIA call as the escape route from the chokepoint, and it buys from TSMC and the memory makers MenFem is bullish on. BULLISH, conviction MEDIUM, three years. The direction is Connor's; the conviction is on MenFem's research recommendation. The entry is the live US quote on 6 November 2026.
Personal AI wins share: the machine on your desk takes the everyday work
Not the frontier, the everyday: a growing share of AI use moves onto machines people own. Low conviction, because the cloud is fighting back.
