Abstract
NVIDIA's own co-packaged-optics switch platforms: Spectrum-X Photonics (Ethernet) and Quantum-X Photonics (InfiniBand), integrating silicon photonics directly into the switch package to scale AI "factories" to millions of interconnected GPUs.

Why It Matters (lens: optical-computing — co-packaged optics, near-term)
This is NVIDIA's own commitment to CPO as mandatory infrastructure for next-gen AI datacenters — the demand-pull half of the KB's CPO coverage, which until now was entirely supply-side (Ayar Labs, Lightmatter, TSMC COUPE, Broadcom). Read alongside the newly-ingested Broadcom Tomahawk 6-Davisson entry, the KB now has both hyperscale-switch incumbents committing to CPO on public, dated roadmaps — the strongest evidence yet against the LENS's "forbidden pattern" of treating CPO as still-speculative. Coherent's presence in NVIDIA's named partner list also cross-links to the critical-materials/energy-adjacent supply chain the KB tracks for laser/optical components.
